There is so much family fun to be found in Cornwall, and Glynn Barton is perfectly located to take advantage of it all! So even if the weather lets you down, there’s plenty to discover right on our doorstep! Here are just a few of our faves…

The Eden Project

20 minute drive

A great day out whatever the weather. With two enormous biomes to explore there is so much to see and do. They always have lots of events and programs on which are great for the kids, and a great café to keep your energy levels up! Check out Hangloose Adventures at Eden for a more exhilarating experience hanging from a zipwire!

National Maritime Museum

1 hour drive

Now the third largest deep water harbour in the world, Falmouth is home to the award winning Maritime Museum. With 15 galleries illustrating the past, present and future of our island it also has a fantastic play zone for the kids.

National Marine Aquarium

50 minutes away

The UK’s largest aquarium is home to all kinds of weird and wonderful sea life to entertain the whole family. Meet them all and learn all about the aquarium’s fantastic conservation work, it’s the perfect rainy day out!

Kids Kingdom

Colliford Lake - 20 minutes

Outdoor adventure teamed with undercover play, Colliford’s Kids Kingdom provides an all-action day out for all the family. Featuring one of the biggest ball pools in Cornwall, never-ending net mazes, cart rides and a super soft play area – you won’t want to go home!

Carnglaze Caverns

20 minute drive

The Slate Caverns and Woodland Garden is home to three gigantic caverns, the 3rd with a lake! Wander around the enchanted dell filled with fairies, guarded by loyal dragons, and home to the hobbits and other magical woodland creatures.

Ben's Playworld

25 minute drive

Another large indoor play area – very close to Charlestown which is a lovely fishing village with Tall Ships, a couple of good places to eat, a beach and Shipwreck and Heritage Museum.

Newquay Aquarium

25 minute drive

Large Ocean tanks and underwater tunnels are home to 40 different themed habitats. Meet the turtles, caiman, and pufferfish face to face for an interactive learning experience. It’s a great visit for the kids without being too overwhelming.
