What’s in store for the year ahead?
Happy New Year to one and all of you!
2014 was a cracking year and it was fantastic to see so many of you here at Glynn Barton Holiday Cottages in Cornwall and we hope to welcome you back again in 2015.
We’ve got lots and lots planned for families and couples of all ages. Our first school holiday break is over the February Half Term holidays. Personally, we love nothing better than Cornwall in the winter; the fresh air sea walks, the clear crisp beaches and woodland walks followed by a hot choccie in front of a cosy fire. There’s also plenty of family attractions open and local events going on for wet weather days. We’re also offering free swimming lessons during the week.
If February is a bit soon, how about a trip at Easter? Glynn Barton is a magical place for an Easter family holiday in Cornwall; with a chance to see the animals and relax with bluebells and daffodils galore! Stay with us over Easter and the children will be able to help feed the animals as part of the free animal feeding with Steve and Shirley every weekday morning. The Swimming Pool will be open over the Easter Holidays, and there’s an indoor soft-play and outdoor play area to keep the children entertained too.
If you’ve got pre-school aged children you’re in luck. Having a young family with pre-school age children can be stressful and exhausting, however if you book your family holiday at Glynn Barton we’ll be sure to take as much of the hassle out of a holiday; with extras such as cots and high chairs available at no extra charge. There’s also stair gates, plastic cutlery, crockery and bed guards available at no extra cost. Elsewhere on the grounds there’s an indoor swimming pool, a soft play barn, toddler ride-on area, mini playground and a huge selection of toys, games and videos in the games room.
Our May Half Term Holidays are selling very fast and we’re looking forward to getting our flip-flops out and embracing the warm weather. It’s the ideal time of year for a family holiday in Cornwall and guests can splash in the pool, help feed the animals, chill out in the Games room or head out and explore the beautiful beaches and countryside which Cornwall is famous for.
The summer holidays are just round the corner and no school holidays would be complete without a holiday in Cornwall. There really is nothing better than grabbing the body-boards, spraying on the suncream and heading to one of Cornwall’s many beautiful beaches. Choose between the sand dunes on the north coast or pretty coastal towns and villages on the south, it doesn’t matter which one you choose as our easily accessible location is perfect for all of them. Whatever you are after, a family holiday in Cornwall at Glynn Barton should be on the top of every family’s wish list.
September is another favourite of ours. The summer is over but Cornwall maintains the warm Atlantic breeze for a few more months. The sea remains inviting and the beaches quiet so you can sit back and feel the calm in the air. In September and October, pre-schoolers love exploring the woodland walks and cycle trails and the quieter beaches are perfect for smaller children to run wild and build sandcastles in.
As the months progress and the air cools, you can hear the leaves rustle as the animals slow down their pace and Glynn Barton transforms into a picturesque autumnal paradise.
We’re already looking forward to Halloween this year. We have a whole host of ghoulishly fun activities planned and you’re guaranteed a frightfully good half term holiday this October.
And before we know it Christmas will be along. The crisp, frosty mornings are beautiful at Glynn Barton and a walk or cycle around in the fresh air is the perfect remedy for most ailments. Snuggle up in your cosy cottage and relax this Christmas.
