What’s on in Cornwall this Easter!
Spring has officially sprung and here at Glynn Barton Holiday Cottages we’re counting down the days to our guests arrive for their Easter holidays. There’s loads to see and do in Cornwall this Easter; from Easter wonderlands, to eggs-ploring and eggs-citing activities for all ages. We’ve picked some of our favourite family events to help you have a cracking great time this Easter!
- Cornwall’s Crealy, Wadebridge
Chocolate Treats at Crealy, Fri 3rd April – Mon 6th April 2015
Do you dare to ride The Beast, venture on the back of Cornwall’s favourite Sea Dragon, Morgawr, get close to the crocodiles in Croc Corner Reptile House, or explore the magical Swampy and Dina Land? With thrill rides, hundreds of animals and acres of outdoor play, imaginations can run wild at Crealy! Plus, they are offering a free Easter egg to every child from the 3rd – 6th of April.

Spend Easter at the Zoo, Fri 3rd, Sat 4th & Sun 5th April 2015.
Hunt for eggs around the Zoo whilst collecting clues, report to Easter bunny HQ to hand in your collection where you will be rewarded with a special present.

The Great Eden Egg Hunt, Sat 28th March – Sun 12th April 2015.
Travel the world without leaving the country, as you follow clever clues and find awesome eggs and amazing tales in the Rainforest, Mediterranean and the great outdoors.
- Bodmin & Wenford Railway, Bodmin
Peppa Pig Appearances PLUS Easter Eggs, Sun 5th April – Mon 6th April 2015
Everyone’s favourite cheeky little piggy is coming to the railway. Peppa Pig will be making personal appearances at intervals throughout the day. PLUS children can participate in the annual Easter Egg Hunt and there will be face painting & balloon modelling!

Join Boris and Dazy in a search for hidden chocolate treats – plus, take time to explore DairyLand as a family to find the hidden chicks!
- Flambards, Helston
Learn to fly at Flambards, From Sat 28th March 2015
A spectacular new ride, which is one of the largest and fastest of its kind in Europe, is set to be unveiled at Flambards Theme Park this Easter. Experience the feeling of flying through the air after being lifted more than 13 metres in to the air on swinging chairs suspended from the top of the carousel!
- The Lost Gardens of Heligan, St Austell
Become an Eggs-plorer at Heligan, Sat 28th March – Sun 12th April 2015.
Become an eggs-plorer as you search for the special Heligan eggs around the Heligan Estate. What does a swallow egg look like? Where do woodpeckers like to create their nests? Discover the size of an emu egg! At the end of the egg hunt, you’ll be rewarded with a yummy Easter treat! There are also special Easter craft and arts workshops which will be held in the Egg HQ yurt! Make your own bunny headdress and hop on over to the egg decorating station and create an eggy masterpiece.
- Trebah Gardens
Eggs with Legs Trail, Sat 28th March – Thur 30th April 2015
As the Garden comes to life after its winter rest so too have some mysterious eggs. Since being found on the island of Mallard Pond, the Trebah eggs have started to warm up in the spring sunshine and have sprouted legs. They have been spotted running amok in the garden and have hidden themselves in various locations. Follow the trail counting the number of eggs hiding in each location to win a chocolate prize. Trails cost £2 to include a chocolate egg prize, normal entry applies.
