Similar to Tredethick, with animal feeding,
self-catering cottages and a communal pool and
games areas.
Glynn Barton has the edge on facilities. There
are a lovely games room, with billiard table
and shelves bulging with games and videos, a
small indoor soft-play area and freezers with
ready meals (organic baby food will be added
soon). Tired parents can benefit from midweek
cleaning, massages on site and registered child
minders can be booked to baby-sit. The simple
but appealing cottages have open kitchen and
seating areas.
During the winter months, swimming lessons
for toddlers in the indoor pool are included
in the weekly rate. The eight cottages, dating
from the 1700s, sit prettily in a terraced row,
where parents sip wine in the evening, and kids
play together. It is a 15-minute drive to a
beach.
