Glynn Barton dates back to the early
18th century and is approached by a long private drive
two miles from the hamlet of Cardinham in North Cornwall.
It is a perfect location to explore Cornwall with its
wealth of attractions, houses and gardens, beautiful
beaches and the highly acclaimed Eden Project. However
with the first class facilities in this peaceful setting
you will be able to relax and know that there is enough
to keep everyone happy without having to get in the
car.
Since making the move from London
in 2000, Andy and Lucy Orr and their young family have
transformed the cluster of cottages into a haven of
safety and tranquillity. Children are free to run around
and parents are free to relax safe in the knowledge
that the nearest public road is almost a mile away and
in between is nothing but lovingly tended gardens (Andy
is a landscape gardener), wonderful facilities and a
host of friendly farm animals. Like the Pied Piper himself
Andy leads mini-guests on his morning rounds hand feeding
the animals and collecting the eggs – the highlight
of many a junior guest’s stay!
All the cottages are unique and
of a high standard excellently restored from the original
stone and slate with beautiful exposed beams. Whatever
time of year they are always warm and welcoming with
central heating and cast iron stoves.
The cottages all boast light, spacious, contemporary
country-style interiors with elegant but comfy sofas,
smooth wooden and slate floors, tongue and groove bathrooms
and shaker style kitchens. They are all very well equipped
with cots, highchairs, built in stairgates, bed guards,
monitors, food blenders and child friendly crockery
and cutlery.

Bedding and Towels
Bedding and towels are provided for guests’ use and are included in the rental. We do ask that you please do not use towels supplied in the swimming pool area or at the beach.
Duvets supplied are 10.5 tog and produced from 100% duck down.They are designed for all year round comfort. Similarly our pillows are 100% duck down. Guests with allergies may prefer synthetic pillows and these are available on request.
Guests staying for over one week may have their cottage cleaned and linen changed on changeover day in addition to the mid week maid service.
Travel Cots and Cot Bedding.
For health and safety reasons all of the cots provided are travel cots and we do not supply cot bedding.
Smoking
Smoking is not permitted in the cottages or any of the facilities. We would prefer if you do smoke outside to please do so away from the cottages and remove cigarette ends afterwards.
Mobile Phone Reception
We have excellent mobile phone reception on site.
Internet Access
We have broadband access and a spare desk in our office which you are free to use.
