Idyllic farm stay named one of the best for self-catering in Cornwall
Glynn Barton holiday cottages near Bodmin has been awarded Silver for best Self-Catering in Cornwall at the county’s annual tourism awards.
The prestigious awards ceremony was held at the Headland Hotel, Newquay and saw over 70 finalists from across the region compete in 24 categories.
The Cornwall Tourism Awards recognise the very best businesses in the Duchy in a range of categories within the tourism industry.
Glynn Barton Cottages won Silver in the self-catering category having been recognised for the unique family-focused farm stay service that is available at the self-catering accommodation and serviced apartments.
The converted farm has eight beautifully designed holiday cottages set in the hills of the Glynn Valley with the owners Steve Randall and Shirley Pool proud to focus the business on delivering a perfect Cornish family holiday, especially for those with young children.

Glynn Barton’s family friendly holiday cottages date back to the early 18th century and are approached by a long private drive two miles from the hamlet of Cardinham in North Cornwall. The farm has eight holiday cottages ranging from one bedroom to three bedroom, equipped with a range of excellent facilities to provide the perfect family-focused self-catering holiday. On-site facilities at the resort include an indoor heated swimming pool, tennis court, children’s play areas, farm animals, an onsite farm shop and a Camelot play area which will be available for 2016.
