In a pretty valley near Bodmin, it's a great starting point for exploring all the delights of Cornwall. And even if you can't be bothered to head out for the day, there's enough at Glynn Barton to keep everyone occupied for a week! A tennis court, climbing frame and swings, a soft-play area and indoor swimming-pool all on-site as well as a playroom stuffed full of toys and videos to keep kids of all ages happy. With 13 acres to roam in, there's plenty of room for them to run about and hopefully tire themselves out!
The cottages felt like a home from home - always vital when holidaying with little ones. There are sterilisers, monitors, high chairs, cots to save you from bringing all that paraphernalia that Baby needs. With freezers chock-full of junk-free but easy-to cook food, and recommendations for great local restaurants, we certainly felt like we'd had a break from cooking. There's even a mid-week maid-service so the pressure was off there too! The cottages themselves are immaculate, homey and clutterfree - but we weren't too worried about our son breaking anything valuable or chucking up on the sofa!
Andy and Lucy are the perfect hosts, attentive but not irritating and full of helpful tips to ensure you get the most out of your holiday. Additionally, they offer to source babysitting services, and there are fab pampering sessions available too. We also took advantage of their baby swimming classes (offered during certain weeks, check there website for details) and they were brilliant and well organised.
