| “Like the Pied Piper,
Andy Orr leads the visiting children away - to collect
eggs and meet the sheep, highland cattle, Kune Kune
pigs, donkeys, ducks and hens. And there's great planting
in progress in the 13 acres of these thoughtfully renovated
18th-century barns, dotted on a hillside with amazing
wooded valley views. On the terrace of the immaculate
lawns children are wonderfully safe, and there's so
much to keep them happy: swimming, tennis, table-tennis,
two play areas - and a games barn filled with toddler
toys, board games, books, videos, pool and table football.
In 2004 the one and two storey cottages were redecorated:
now blues, creams and sunny yellows prevail. The open-plan
living rooms have wooden floors, comfy sofas, gas ‘woodburners’
and exposed beams; the Shaker-style kitchens contain
all you need.“

| What ever age your
children are there is a huge amount to do at Glynn Barton.
Our grounds are private and secluded almost a mile from
a public road and are a wonderful and safe place for
children to run around and enjoy all the facilities.
For many children the highlight of their holiday is
the daily animal feeding. We spend about 30 minutes
every morning hand feeding Jock and Rory the highland
cows, Preston and Huxley the kune kune pigs, Muffin
and Crumpet the donkeys and the sheep and collecting
the freshly laid eggs from the chickens.
All the children's facilities are
no more than two minutes walk from your cottage, but
far enough away from the cottage gardens to preserve
your peace & tranquillity.
