There’s lots to explore this Summer in Cornwall. So where do you start?

Well, we started by visiting Camel Creek Adventure Park and thought it would be handy to give you a little insight in to some of the surrounding Cornish attractions over the coming weeks so you can make a more informed decision of where you’d like to visit when you stay with us.

Recently under new ownership and re-branded, Camel Creek has plenty of variety and activities for all ages. From many different animals including horses, rabbits and reptiles, to rides (both wet and dry!) aimed at young and old, to play areas and nature walks – it really has it all! You will need to allow the whole day to visit to see everything!

Camel Creek now boasts a brand new 5D simulator experience (the downside is children need to be over 1.2 metres tall for this, so this is one specifically for the “big kids”). Seated in pods of 4 with a sea theme throughout, it will result in lots of shocks and laughs, so is truly not to be missed! Not quite tall enough? No fear, there is still plenty of exciting rides to suit the smaller adventurer too.

Greeting you close to the entrance is the animal encounters at Pet’s Corner (and we love animals, don’t we?) as well as numerous food outlets and child friendly facilities.

The clear favourite throughout the day for the children was the water rides, both the slides and the log flume – what is the fascination with children and water?!

To top the wonderful day off we even saw the Mad Hatter and Alice in Wonderland walking around – it’s a delight to see the children’s faces light up when they spot someone “famous”! Keep your eyes peeled this Summer for:

  • Peppa Pig on August 2nd
  • Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on August 9th
  • The Clangers on August 16th
  • Super Heroes on August 23rd
  • Paw Patrol on August 30th

All in all we had a great family day with something for everyone and memories we will treasure forever. A special mention to the staff for their enthusiasm and engagement with our family – good customer service definitely makes a difference.
